Frequently Asked Questions
What is our wholesale pricing structure?
Even for just a single 1kg bag, our matcha is better priced than our competitors. Additionally, we offer wholesale discounts when you purchase multiple bags to ensure you won’t find these prices from anyone else. Subscription discount available.
If ordering more than 5kg in a single order, or if you want to lock in regular deliveries, please enquire for a bespoke quote: hello@matchawholesale.co.uk. Pricing is subject to change.
What is our minimum order quantity (MOQ) and is there a maximum quantity we can handle?
Our MOQ is just 1kg for matcha and 250g for hojicha. We handle shipments to some customers in tons, and work with one of the largest matcha tea producers in Japan so there won’t be any issue with handling extremely large quantities – but please do enquire to see how we can work together.
What is the typical shelf life of our matcha and what are the recommended storage instructions?
The typical unopened shelf life of our products is 9-24 months. To keep your matcha as fresh as possible once opened we recommend keeping it airtight, to prevent oxidation, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. If you can keep it in the fridge, even better.
Do we have a defined delivery schedule, and are there any locations we do not cover?
We’re happy to ship outside of the UK. If you’re ordering internationally, please get in touch with us for a custom shipping quote and delivery details. We would love to hear from you and would be happy to explore options to meet your requirements if we can do so.
We use third-party providers to deliver our matcha and ship to each customer based on your requirements. We can be flexible to suit your timeline and budget for small single 1kg deliveries up to multiple large pallet-sized shipments. We can arrange for regular scheduled deliveries if required, as well as flexible delivery timings.
Do we offer Private Label services?
White-label is offered on a bespoke basis depending on each customer’s requirements. Please fill out our Private Label Enquiry Form to discuss your requirements and vision in more detail.
Is our matcha organic?
We offer both organic and non-organic matcha to suit your requirements. We’re able to offer non-organic matcha at a more competitive price point due to the costs and processes required to produce certified organic matcha. Both our organic and non-organic matcha is of the highest quality in terms of its bright green colour, smooth texture and unbeatable taste. A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is undertaken for each batch of both grades to confirm pesticide residues are below UK limits.
Do we have a product specification?
Please refer to each product page to see the product specifications.
What cultivar is our matcha?
Our matcha grades are a proprietary blend of cultivars. This guarantees consistency between batches.
Do we have a COA and proof of origin?
Absolutely – we have strict import procedures in place to ensure every batch can be traced back to its origin in Japan and that every batch has been tested for pesticides, heavy metals, microbiology and mycotoxins. These can be provided with each batch ordered to ensure all of your own strict sourcing requirements are met.
